Windows 7 raced past its competitors in global usage and is in the top spot at present . Mac OS is used only by Apple users but Windows 7 is used in Mac also. Other OS such as Linux are way behind the top spot. Microsoft sales sheet shows that Windows 7 has brought them huge success after the flop of Windows Vista.
According to StatCounter , Windows 7 has 40 percent share of the market, where as XP slipped to 38.64% in October . Linux has 0.82 % of total usage with Mac OS at 7 %. Microsoft also mentioned that 45% of PCs worldwide are running Windows 7 and Windows 8 will break this record when it gets released.
