The much expected and rumored handset from Sony is officially out now. Sony announced its latest Android smartphone Xperia S at CES 2012. The new smartphone is different from other Xperia line of smartphones both in specifications and design.The high end specifications of this smartphone are listed below:
- 4.3″ Capacitive touchscreen with HD resolution (720×1280 pixels)
- 1.5 GHz dual core processor
- 3D Graphics Accelerator
- 1 GB RAM
- 16 or 32 GB of internal storage (No expansion slot)
- 12 MP camera with Sony’s Exmor R backlit sensor and 1.3 MP secondary camera
- Android 2.3 OS
- Bluetooth 4.0, 3G , WiFi and LTE support

It is reported that Sony will start shipping the smartphone in Q1 2012. Xperia S will be available in two colors Silver and Black. Moreover the device will receive the Android ICS update soon after its release in the market.
