Microsoft looks Happy without Yahoo

By | October 20, 2011

Microsoft is very glad not to own “Yahoo”.  These were the lines said by Steve Ballmer , Microsoft’s CEO  during the closing event of the second day of the Web 2.0 Summit. He also mentioned that ” Sometimes,  you will be lucky “.

Microsoft offered a deal of  $44 billion to Yahoo but Yahoo’s Jerry Yang turned down the deal by saying that they still need to make things straight . He stated that parterning with Yahoo is good but we would have had a huge problem both from a fiscal standpoint and a management standpoint , to finalize the deal which will take more time as said in 2010.

Also Steve Ballmer told that Nokia is planning to launch Windows Phone 7 devices next week at Nokia World event. The event will feature both Nokia and Microsoft releasing the device . Steve Ballmer is confident that the deal with Nokia will bring their status back to their previous form in mobile market.

However Microsoft will be happy without the Yahoo deal as they are concentrating over Windows Phone 7 with the deal from Nokia.

Microsoft – “Yahoo has learnt a lesson may be………..”
