By | November 17, 2011

Google has launched the new version of its music search and functionality “Google Music” in a press event on Nov 16th at Los Angeles. The Google music services will allow the Android users to download and listen songs with customizable playlists. Zahavah Levine, Android’s director of content partnerships said this in a press meet

“We’re the first store that enables users to share their purchased music with their friends.”

Google Music will be a tough competitor to Apple’s iTunes. Big companies such as Warner Music and Green Day bands have signed agreement with the Search engine giant to enable the music services and Google has invested a lot of money and work to bring this. Also Google will never be in a state of mood to give up this service in anyway , as it did for Google Buzz and Wave.

With Apple getting tough competitors in all its services , Google will finish ’em off in music segment also.Google Music services are available currently in US (Other countries will get this service soon).

Google Music – tough time ahead for iTunes..
