Facebook and Google to monitor Indian users

By | December 9, 2011

Facebook and Google are monitoring Indian users and this decision was taken by the Tech giants due to a request from the Indian Government. According to the New York Times , officials from Google, Microsoft, Yahoo and Facebook met with Kapil Sibal, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology on December 6 to discuss the matter.

Kapil Sibal met the officials and showed them a Facebook page that had negative views and some insane photos of AICC President , Ms.Sonia Gandhi. Also Google was asked to remove such photos from their search results that pose some strong views on Ms.Gandhi.

It is clear that the Indian Government will stop these no(n) sense issues happening in the Internet. It is reported that Google has removed more than 400 images from their search results yesterday.

Will the Indian Govt put censorship board for Facebook and Google? It will come sooner, i think so. Hope they do not threaten to ban these online services.

Facebook users , be alert ! Please do not post such comments and photos.
