Dell , world’s No.1  Laptop and PC manufacturer is in plans to leave Android and totally shift to Windows 8 . Dell which has only few Android supporting devices has been keen on Window’s new version  – Windows 8 .

Dell revealed this in the following statements

“We are very aligned with Microsoft around Windows 8. You’ll hear more about Windows 8 from us and see a wide range of products released”

“Android is certainly another opportunity as well, but that market has not developed to the expectations they would have had,”

Dell  released a Windows 7 Tablet last year and this new TAB has created huge expectations on the company for manufacturing more Windows Tablets. It is said that Dell will leave Android both in mobile and Tablet segment. Dell Venue Pro which runs Windows Phone 7 ( and also Mango ) has made a good profit and many Mango devices are to be released this year.

Dell  shares a good relationship with Microsoft and will be releasing a Windows 8 Tablet when the  OS hits the market next year.

However Android will not be affected  to some extent but this will be a kick start to Microsoft  to deliver their best with Dell.
