We have some good news and a bad news for those who have pre-ordered the commercial version of “Aakash” Tablet , a few months back.
The commercial version of “Aakash” Tablet was reported to be launched this December 2011. But the makers of Aakash Tablet , “DataWind” have confirmed the release of the Tablet on Jan 2012. The delay will be due to the recent up gradations and some manufacturing issues. And the good news is that they have upgraded the features of the Tablet and it looks completely cool.
Sources close to DataWind reveal that the Tablet will be rolled out next year and there will be no further delay. The specifications of the Tablet* are listed below:

- 256 MB of RAM
- 3D Graphics Accelerator ( With Low memory)
- 2GB of internal memory

The recent change in specifications have made the company to hike it’s price but they will be sticking to the same 3000INR. However the Tablet is priced at Rs.3400 , Rs.400 for the keyboard that comes attached with the Tablet.
